Dr. LaTosha Ramsey

Campus Chaplain- University of Miami


Dr. Ramsey, better known as "Dr. Tosh", has been serving the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for many years. She was born and raised in Miami and formerly served on University of Miami campus in the Enrollment Management department as the Assistant Director. She obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Grambling State University in Grambling, LA and her PhD in Administration in Higher Education from Auburn University in Auburn, AL. She has served as a volunteer with UM FCA since 2018 and has recently accepted the position as the UM FCA Campus Area Director.


Zakiya Rashid

Chaplain Women's Sports

Zakiya, better known as "Z", is a University of Miami alumni and former athlete competing as a track and field discus thrower. As a track & field student athlete, she won four ACC Championship titles. She became apart of FCA in 2018 where she served first as a student leader and later as an UM FCA intern. Since graduating from University of Miami with her bachelor's and master's degrees, she has been working as an FCA Area Representative on campus.


Abby Casiano

Chaplain Women's Sports

Abby is a University of Miami alumni and former volleyball athlete. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, she played five years of collegiate volleyball and graduated from University of Miami in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and a minor in History. During her undergrad years at UM, she was student leader with FCA and heavily involved the weekly women’s bible study. Abby is our newest staff member and she is excited to pour into the next generation of college students.



JEROME McDougle

Football Chaplain

Jerome McDougle (born December 15, 1978) is a former NFL and University of Miami defensive end known for resilience, leadership, and service. A standout at Blanche Ely High, Hinds Community College, and Miami, he helped the Hurricanes win the 2001 National Championship, earned All-American honors, and was inducted into the UM Hall of Fame.

Drafted 15th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2003, he later played for the New York Giants. Despite injuries, he earned the Ed Block Courage Award for perseverance.

After football, McDougle founded a nonprofit supporting youth through sports, mentoring, and academics. With degrees from Miami and George Washington University, he is dedicated to developing young leaders.

Rooted in faith, he now serves as Chaplain for the University of Miami football team, guiding players and coaches in character and purpose. He is also a devoted husband to Jaceinte and father of four, leaving a lasting impact through mentorship and ministry.
